Novosibirsk Mayor Orders Roof Inspections, Over 500 Objects Checked
Today, people were seen on the roofs of many buildings clearing snow.
Today, January 22, on the order of Mayor Maksim Kudryavtsev, an on-site inspection was conducted in Novosibirsk to check compliance with regulatory requirements for roof maintenance and their timely snow removal. This was reported by the city hall«s press service.
Thus, over the past day, roof maintenance was checked at 567 objects in the city. Special attention was paid to snow accumulation on the flat surfaces of roofs of social, commercial, and administrative buildings.
«Based on the identified violations, 72 orders were issued to building owners and management organizations, and 164 demands were sent for taking measures to remove snow masses from roofs,» clarified the Novosibirsk city hall.
The work was intensified due to an emergency in the Pervomaisky District, where, according to preliminary data, a collapse occurred due to snow accumulation on the roof.
