Murmansk Trolleybuses Return to Usual Routes

Trolleybuses in Murmansk are gradually resuming service after power outages, with free rides still in place for the day.

In Murmansk, trolleybus route No. 6 is returning to its usual route, and routes No. 3 and No. 4 will do so within the next hour. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Murmansk Region.

— However, please note that the operation is still in a trial phase: the system is gradually being restored, so there will be slightly fewer trips than usual. Free rides will remain in place until the end of the day, — wrote city head Ivan Lebedev in his Telegram channel.

Recall that Andrey Chibis announced the cancellation of electricity bills for residents of Murmansk and Severomorsk during the power outages.

In the Murmansk Region, a power supply line has been installed on temporary supports. Currently, power supply in Murmansk has been fully restored.

Due to the accident, a state of emergency was introduced in the Murmansk Region. The prosecutor«s office of the Murmansk Region has already begun an investigation due to the mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated. It was revealed that the fallen power line poles had been in service for almost 60 years.
