A state of heightened readiness is in effect in the Murmansk Region due to power outages. There is no light in apartments, and street lighting is also absent in Murmansk.

We asked residents of the city how they are enduring this time.

— I won«t hide it, I personally haven»t experienced the crisis. At the port, the light went out for 15 minutes, but we have uninterruptible power supplies. And everything was quickly restored. I live in far Pervomayka, all the benefits of civilization are preserved here, — comments Ekaterina.

Darya and Denis live on Gagarin Street:

— We came home at the beginning of seven in the evening and immediately realized something was wrong. The light was burning dimly, blinked several times, and in the bedroom, due to low voltage, it was dark. Then we left again, returned at 4 a.m. The light was burning normally, but the radiators were cold. Now there is no heating, but the apartment is comfortable, not cold. We are worried about household appliances.

— We have no hot water, no light, no heating. It«s cold, we»re going to Pervomayka to our parents, — says Ilya, who lives on Mir Street.

The same situation for a resident of the Leninsky District:

— Gadzhiev Street — since yesterday, no light, water, radiators are cold! We«re freezing!

Yulia lives on Lenin Avenue. She reports that electricity problems affected her home yesterday:

— Yesterday the light blinked during the day, and that«s it. Otherwise, everything is in order, there is water and heating, I didn»t change plans. But I«m holding off on running the washing machine or dishwasher for now, just in case.

Alexandra lives in the Oktyabrsky District:

— I live on Kirov Avenue, the light wasn«t cut off for us, everything is fine with heat, there were no power disruptions, neighboring houses also have light, shops in the area are working.

Lyudmila from Shabalina Street says:

— Everything is fine with us, nothing was cut off. It«s warm, light, there is water. But there is no light in the yard.

Recall, a state of heightened readiness was introduced in the Murmansk Region due to power outages. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational staff. Street lighting in Murmansk was temporarily turned off.

In the press service of Rosseti North-West, it was reported that the cause of the outage was a technological violation on an overhead power line. Later it became known that 5 supports collapsed. Trolleybuses in Murmansk changed routes.

The prosecutor«s office of the Murmansk Region has already begun an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated, and in the Leninsky District, rotational power outages have been introduced.

Murmansk residents were told where they can go to warm up and charge electronic devices. And city entrepreneurs are ready to provide food from their main menu at a discount.

The consequences of the accident are being eliminated, Rosseti North-West brought additional snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to the emergency site, the first supports were already delivered to the Arctic from Karelia.
