Murmansk lists new addresses without power

Authorities in Murmansk have reported additional power outages across multiple city districts and published a list of addresses where electricity is expected to be restored soon.

The authorities of Murmansk have reported additional power outages in various districts of the city. They also published a list of buildings where power supply is planned to be restored in the near future.

Addresses where power supply is currently cut off:

Recall that a state of heightened readiness was introduced in the Murmansk Region due to power outages. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational staff. Street lighting in Murmansk was temporarily turned off.

The press service of Rosseti Severo-Zapad (Rosseti North-West) reported that the cause of the outage was a technological failure on an overhead power line. Later it became known that 5 support structures collapsed. Trolleybuses in Murmansk changed their routes.

The Prosecutor«s Office of the Murmansk Region has already started an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated, and in the Leninsky District, rotational power outages have been introduced.

Murmansk residents were told where they can go to warm up and charge electronic devices. And city entrepreneurs are ready to provide food from their main menu at a discount. Also, interactive maps with useful addresses have been prepared for citizens.

The consequences of the accident are being eliminated, Rosseti Severo-Zapad brought additional snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to the emergency site, the first support structures have already been delivered to the Arctic region from Karelia. Meanwhile, communication disruptions are being observed in the region. Major hotels in the city have joined in to help residents: they can charge devices and eat at a discount.
