Murmansk Alters Aid Point Operating Hours on Tuesday

The Murmansk administration announced changes to the operating hours of aid points on January 27.

Field kitchens will operate from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the following addresses:

  • Svyazi Ave., 30, Gymnasium No. 1;

  • Skalnaya St., 12, School No. 49;

  • Mira St., 12, School No. 49 (second building);

  • Geroev-Severomortsev Ave., 76/3, Gymnasium No. 9 (former School No. 41).

Food package distribution will take place in two stages: at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the following addresses:

  • Alexander Nevsky St., 81;

  • Ushakova St., 9;

  • Safonova St., 37;

  • Polyarnye Zori St., 51/33.

At each address, there is an opportunity to charge phones. City institutions are also open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM for Murmansk residents: kettles and microwave ovens are available.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Murmansk region. Full restoration of power supply after the accident may take at least a week. The Prosecutor«s Office of the Murmansk region has already launched an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated. It was found that the fallen power line poles had been in service for almost 60 years.
