The monument to Commodore Rezanov will be removed from Peace Square. It will be dismantled and installed in another location due to the planned reconstruction of the central square for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.

As reported by NGS24.RU, the city administration stated that the site where the sculpture will be installed has not yet been determined, because the tender for the development of the reconstruction project documentation was only announced recently.

Earlier we reported that the Krasnoyarsk Triumphal Arch on the Strelka will be relocated, its appearance will be completely changed and given «new meanings». The entire Peace Square will also be improved.

On 23 January, «Krasgorpark» began looking for a contractor to develop the project and estimate. The initial purchase price is 4.5 million rubles (about $50,000 at current rates). According to the lot, the object will be renamed the Arch of the 400th Anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. The arch on Strelka was opened in 2003 and is currently named in honor of the 375th anniversary of the city (in addition to the anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, it is dedicated to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War). In 2018, it was slightly reconstructed.
