Missing Volgograd girl found alive

The search for a missing 12-year-old girl in Volgograd, announced on the morning of January 25, was called off in the evening of the same day. The child was found alive in a residential complex located next to the Coliseum residential complex in the Kirovsky district of the city.
The girl went missing during the day around 11 a.m. when she left home to take out the trash. According to her mother, her daughter regularly went out for this task; the trash area is a minute«s walk from home, and she usually returned quickly. However, this time she was not back after half an hour. The parents immediately began searching.
«Dad went to look for her in the car, I started searching in the stairwell. We noticed that she didn»t take the house keys. We drove around the entire Coliseum residential complex, she wasn«t there,» the girl«s mother said.
She also noted that the child has a disability and theoretically could have independently gone to her school in the Krasnoarmeysky district, as she knows the route.
Not only the parents, but also police officers, volunteers, and local residents joined the search, inspecting the area of the residential complex.
Around eight o«clock in the evening, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Volgograd Region confirmed that the child had been found. The girl was discovered in a residential complex neighboring the Coliseum. Juvenile affairs inspectors and medics are working with her.
«It has been preliminarily established that no unlawful actions were committed against her. Based on the results of the check, response measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation,» the police department clarified.
