Mayor unveils unique format for Tyumen's 440th City Day
A fireworks festival is planned for Tyumen«s 440th City Day celebration in 2026.
In the summer of 2026, Tyumen plans to grandly celebrate its 440th anniversary since its founding. Despite the grand event being several months away, the city«s head has revealed exclusive details of the celebration. Maxim Afanasyev was a guest on the authorial program »Personal BRAND« by Tatyana Maximova on »Radio 7«.

On the air of «Radio 7», Afanasyev explained that City Day will be celebrated for three days. According to officials, key events will take place on July 24, 25, and 26. This will be a series of vibrant events.
“The main stage venue for City Day will be the embankment of the Tura River,” said the head of the city of Tyumen.
Together with the host, it was emphasized that a so-called floating stage on the river and a fireworks festival are planned. According to Afanasyev, performances by three headliners are expected. But who they are and what their names are — all that remains a secret. Most likely, Tyumen residents and city guests are in for a big surprise. But that«s not all: there will also be various diverse events. The full lineup, as per tradition, will be published later, closer to the date of the celebration on the website of the Tyumen administration and on the portal.
