Mayor announces unusual format for anniversary City Day

In summer 2026, Tyumen is preparing to celebrate its 440th birthday. Several months before the event, city head Maxim Afanasyev detailed the preparations during an episode of Tatiana Maximova«s authorial program »Personal BRAND« on »Radio 7«.

City Day celebrations are planned for three days — July 24, 25, and 26. As the mayor stated, the main events will unfold on the embankment of the Tura River. «The main stage for City Day will be the embankment of the Tura River,» Afanasyev explained.

The program will include a floating stage on the water and a fireworks festival. Performances by three invited headliners are expected, but their names have not yet been revealed. The full schedule of events will be published later on the Tyumen administration«s website.
