On January 30, drivers got stuck in a giant traffic jam on the Yegorshinsky approach. A reader told E1.RU about this and shared a video. He believes that traffic was paralyzed after the opening of a new section near «Kalina».

A video captured by a reader shows the extensive traffic congestion stretching from Blukherovsky Bridge to the «Kalina» complex.

«Before, you could get to Botanika and even to Solnechny via »Kalina« in half an hour. But now they»ve opened this new overpass. They made two lanes for exit and one lane for entry. Whether in the morning, afternoon, or evening—it«s a wild traffic jam. Cars are standing from Blukherovsky Bridge to »Kalina«! This didn»t used to happen, only sometimes in the mornings. But now everything is stuck there, I«ve been standing for 45 minutes already,» complained the reader.

We have contacted the mayor«s office with a question about whether the difficult road situation is related to the opening of the new overpass.

Recently, we reported that traffic on Komsomolskaya Street from Bibliotechnaya Street towards the interchange near the «Kalina» concern will be closed until summer 2026. An underground pedestrian crossing will be built there.

We have written in detail earlier about the stages of construction of the mega-interchange near «Kalina». The new road facility is supposed to solve the problem of perpetual traffic jams, increasing the capacity of the difficult section by more than 2 times: from 5 thousand cars per hour to 12 thousand.

All information on the progress of the reconstruction of this interchange can be found in a special section.
