Machinery Clears Forest Behind Slavy Boulevard in Ufa's Development Zone
The company compensated the city for the tree felling under the development agreement.
Residents of Ufa noticed that in the forest behind the former «Salyut» cinema, pine trees have begun to be felled. Footage from the site shows heavy machinery, workers, and numerous felled trunks.
These two land plots have been selected by the developer for the new residential project.
This area is part of territories included in the comprehensive development program — in total, 7.49 hectares of land along the forest on Blukher Street were designated for renovation. According to the project, hundreds of garages will be demolished there, and in their place, two high-rises up to 30 stories will be built. Initially, the authorities stated that the forest would not be touched: «the project does not change the boundaries and area of urban forests.»
The press service of the Ufa mayor«s office informed us that the developer — the company »Green Yard« — has a permit to cut down trees. For the damage to urban forests, the developer paid in rubles — contributed a certain amount to the city treasury, which will later be spent, among other things, on greening Ufa.
«JSC SZ »Green Yard« is beginning the preparatory stage of construction for a new residential complex in the Ordzhonikidzevsky District. All work is being carried out based on an official construction permit issued at the end of 2025. There is also a permit for work in the green zone. The company has fully fulfilled its obligations to compensate for green spaces, transferring the corresponding funds to the municipal budget. This will allow for additional greening and improvement works in the city in the future,» — UFA1.RU was told by the administration.
According to the «Kontur.Focus» service, SZ «Green Yard» was registered in Ufa in September 2023 and was owned through the company «Komintern» by the director of developers «Novator» and «Renaissance» Arslan Fayzullin, his business partner Linara Iksanova, as well as directly by co-founder of the clothing sales company «Atum» and the real estate management company «Ufa-City Invest» Alexey Silin. In 2025, SZ «Green Yard» was reorganized into a joint-stock company headed by Fayzullin.
At the end of November 2025, in Ufa, it was decided to cut down all fir trees. Residents of Ufa were very dissatisfied with this, while the authorities explained these measures.
