Leninsky District in Murmansk faces power cuts: address list

Temporary electricity outages are planned in the Leninsky District of Murmansk on January 25, starting at 10:00. According to city head Ivan Lebedev, the outages are being conducted to reduce load on the grid and ensure stable operation of critical infrastructure.

Recall that a state of heightened readiness was introduced in the Murmansk Region due to electricity outages. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters. Street lighting was temporarily turned off in Murmansk.

The press service of Rosseti North-West reported that the cause of the outage was a technological fault on an overhead power line. Later it became known that 5 poles collapsed. Trolleybuses in Murmansk changed their routes.

The prosecutor«s office of the Murmansk Region has already launched an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated, and in the Leninsky District, rotational power outages were introduced.

Residents of Murmansk were told where they can go to warm up and charge electronic devices. And city entrepreneurs are ready to provide food from their main menu at a discount. Also for citizens, interactive maps with useful addresses were prepared.

The consequences of the accident continue to be eliminated, Rosseti North-West brought additional snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to the emergency site, the first poles have already been delivered to the Polar Region from Karelia. Meanwhile in the region, communication disruptions are observed. Major city hotels have already joined in to help residents: in them, one can charge devices and eat at a discount.
