Kushva Residents Left Without Heat in Bitter Cold

Residents of Kushva during abnormal frosts were left without heating due to a broken boiler. The utility accident occurred on January 20 at 19:00. Radiators cooled down in 12 apartment buildings. This was reported by the head of the Kushvinsky municipal district, Mikhail Slepukhin. He also clarified that from January 21 to 26, a state of heightened readiness was introduced in Kushva for all emergency services.
According to Mikhail Slepukhin, utility workers managed to connect a backup boiler. But its operation is currently insufficient to heat the houses. Residents of Kushva have already been informed that a recalculation for heating will be conducted due to the failure to maintain regulatory parameters.
«An emergency team of adjustment engineers from Nizhny Tagil is working. In extreme conditions, the team is adjusting boiler No. 1. Why can»t the temperature be raised instantly? Starting untuned equipment at maximum or a sharp temperature spike in the cooled networks could lead to massive bursts on the city mains,« clarified Mikhail Slepukhin.
Emergency teams will work at the site without interruption until heating is restored to all houses.
Earlier we reported on another problem in Kushva. Residents of the Vostok microdistrict were left without medical care near their homes: on January 19, a general practice department (GPD) was closed in the settlement. Now people have to travel more than two kilometers to the clinic.
