A universal motorized heater has been delivered to Karabash to eliminate the consequences of a communal accident. Such equipment is typically used in the conditions of the Far North. The unit has been operating in the city for the second day now.
As specialists from «RMK Poisk» explained, the emergency rescue team purchased the machine specifically for the emergency situation in Karabash. The unit has been nicknamed «Gorynych» by locals. It has five hoses for outputting hot air. They can work simultaneously. This has sped up the process of thawing out the houses. Previously, risers were thawed manually with gas burners.
«One hose we lower into the basement, the second into the entrance hall, and the third into one of the most frozen apartments,» said Timur Gainullin, deputy director of RMK Poisk. «With hot air that reaches 50 degrees Celsius (122°F) at the outlet, we heat the walls, which enhances the effect of warming the internal panel pipes for a quick start of the heating circuits.»
Results become visible after several hours of work. The walls of the entrance halls warm up, and the thick layer of frost melts. The emergency rescue team notes that the interiors are already noticeably more comfortable. Yesterday evening, heat returned to one entrance of the most problematic building. Overnight, another entrance was thawed out. «Gorynych» can work without refueling for up to 12 hours. The unit and specialists are working around the clock.
