Huge Crowd at Vysotsky: Where Is Everyone Going?

There is a frenzy today in the Vysotsky business center: more than a hundred people lined up right at the opening for the Vladimir Vysotsky Museum, which would have celebrated his 88th birthday today.

Every year on this day, entrance to the museum is made free, which attracts both Yekaterinburg residents and city guests. According to those standing in line, the museum opened at 11:00, and just ten minutes later people were turned around and asked to go down to leave their outerwear: the museum«s cloakroom filled up very quickly.

«We came here for the first time. We thought no one would go in the early morning. But it turned out we were wrong,» shared Natalya, who came right at the opening.

In the evening, the museum will also host a themed concert. As the venue staff said, all tickets for the performance were snapped up in just two hours.

«We saw advertisements everywhere, so we came. But we didn»t expect so many people. We are here for the first time and already understand that we will have to come separately to see everything properly. The museum itself is good, but not when there is such a crowd,« shared Irina and Natalya.

Some of the visitors admitted that they come to the museum on this day not for the first time.

«I am a big fan of Vladimir Vysotsky. Every year I come here in honor of his birthday. Such a number of people doesn»t bother me because I already know every corner of this museum. For me, it«s just a tradition,» said Tatyana.
«We wanted to show our children that we had such a great musician. But honestly, we didn»t think about the high demand. There are too many people, and small children can«t see anything. Now, of course, we will try to listen to the tour. Even if we can»t see, at least we can hear,« say Andrey and Anna.
