Work continues to restore electricity in Murmansk and a number of settlements in the Murmansk region after a blackout. According to the emergency response team, Maloye Safonovo and Roslyakovo have been reconnected.
According to a report from Rosseti, the erection of two temporary power line poles is in its final stage, and electricity supply is planned to be restored in the first half of the day.
«Colleagues plan to restore electricity in the first half of the day, we are doing everything possible to make it happen as soon as possible,» said Murmansk region governor Andrey Chibis.
Two main metal poles have already been delivered to the site, and specialists have begun assembling them. Three more poles are en route and will be delivered by morning.
Recall that a state of emergency was declared in the Murmansk region due to the power outage. This decision was made at a meeting of the emergency response team. Street lighting in Murmansk has been temporarily turned off.
The press service of Rosseti North-West reported that the cause of the outage was a technical failure on a power transmission line. Later it became known that 5 poles had collapsed. Trolleybuses in Murmansk have changed their routes.
The Murmansk region prosecutor«s office has already launched an investigation into the mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated, and rolling blackouts have been introduced in the Leninsky district.
Murmansk residents have been told where they can go to warm up and charge electronic devices. And city entrepreneurs are ready to provide food from their main menus at a discount. Interactive maps with useful addresses have also been prepared for citizens.
The consequences of the accident are being eliminated, Rosseti North-West has brought additional snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to the emergency site, the first poles have already been delivered to the Arctic region from Karelia. Meanwhile, communication disruptions are being observed in the region. Major city hotels have joined the effort to help residents: they can charge devices and eat at a discount.
