Former Komsomoll Mall Transforms into Thermal Resort

The giant thermal complex Badenland has begun operations on the site of the former Komsomoll shopping center in Yekaterinburg. The first phase of the project is already open for visits.

On the first floor, designed in a tropical style, there is a pool with an area of 1,200 square meters. For guests, VIP zones in the form of wigwams, a children«s spa zone with animators, and a panoramic sauna have been arranged. Aromatic steamings and wellness practices are planned to be held there, and the appearance of a karaoke bathhouse is also possible.

The water body is equipped with a five-stage purification system. In the center of the pool, two large screens have been installed, where images of a waterfall or fiery lava are broadcast at different times of the day. Soon, a pool bar will open at the edge, and nearby, a bus-style bar and a cafe will appear.

The complex«s manager, Inna Spinchevskaya, reported that before the large-scale reconstruction, which included pouring the pool, necessary engineering surveys were conducted. The premises were deemed suitable for the new tasks. The project owner, Yevgeny Kononov, clarified that the outdoor pool will open only in two months.

The second floor is executed in Russian style. Its main object is the Bogatyr bathhouse, capable of accommodating up to a hundred people. Also located here are several small steam rooms and a bar with a huge samovar. Some first visitors note a smaller number of saunas compared to another branch in Uktus (Yekaterinburg), which is explained by the phased launch.

The Badenland project will be fully implemented in three phases. The opening dates for the remaining two stages, which are in the design stage, have not yet been determined. Initially, the launch was announced for December 25, but it was postponed by a month.

Recall that another large thermal complex called Yuga opened in Yekaterinburg in 2024.
