Forecasters Announce When Warmth Will Finally Reach Volgograd

After severe frosts swept through Volgograd Oblast, with temperatures plummeting to as low as -30°C (-22°F), the city is finally set to warm up — thermometers will rise above freezing. Forecasters have revealed when residents can expect this change.

Volgograd must still endure another day of cold, particularly in the surrounding oblast. However, tomorrow temperatures are forecast to climb from -20°C (-4°F) to -3°C (27°F), with Thursday, January 29, bringing the anticipated shift above freezing. Yet, along with the warmth, forecasters warn of fog, icy conditions, and light snow mixed with rain across the region, though the city itself may see little precipitation.
