Dead Dog Left on Chita Street for Second Week

A dead dog has been lying near a pedestrian crossing on Sovetov Avenue in Chita for two weeks. A local resident told Chita.Ru on January 29 that she had contacted the city administration several times about the issue, but there has been no reaction.

«A dog»s corpse has been lying on the pedestrian crossing for the second week. Everyone walks and stumbles over it: children, adults, and schoolchildren. And our authorities are doing nothing. I have already contacted the administration—I called and sent an email to the municipal services committee, but there is only silence. The administration said, «Come in, write a written statement.» I also called the housing services committee; they promised to remove it, but no one has,« says the publication»s interviewee.

In addition, the woman pointed out other problems in this area: snow is not being cleared and the pedestrian zone is not being salted, making it very slippery.

«No one is putting the pedestrian zone in order. Consequently, there are piles of garbage and now these little corpses lying around,» the Chita resident said.
