Chibis: Repair Work on Power Line's Protective Cable Completed

Repair work on the protective cable of the power supply line has been completed. This was reported by the governor of Murmansk Oblast, Andrey Chibis.
«In the near future, the phased connection of consumers will begin. Resource-supplying organizations and management companies are starting to eliminate the consequences of the morning switchovers and restore the standard operating parameters of the systems,» Chibis said.
Simultaneously, specialists continue work on installing permanent supports for the power transmission line.
Recall that parts of Murmansk and Severomorsk were left without power again. Andrey Chibis reported on the reasons for the repeated outage.
Murmansk«s public transport was switched to a special operating mode, and street lighting was turned off. Schoolchildren in Murmansk had all classes canceled on 31 January. We reported which supermarkets were forced to temporarily close. The MMTP (Murmansk Sea Trade Port) also suspended its work.
Also, the head of Severomorsk, Vladimir Evmenkov, announced a list of addresses where electricity might disappear. The administration of Murmansk told people where to go who found themselves in apartments without power again.
The prosecutor«s office of Murmansk Oblast has already started an inspection due to mass power outages in the region on 23 January, and a criminal case has been initiated. It was found that the fallen power line supports had been in service for almost 60 years.
