Construction of a new chemical-analytical laboratory building is underway at the Bystrinsky GOK (Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Plant). This will significantly increase the laboratory«s productivity to ensure 100% analytical control over production, taking into account all the enterprise»s development projects, including the further commissioning of the gold recovery plant.

Foundation work has been finished as part of the ongoing construction of the new laboratory facility.

The first stage of construction has been completed — the foundation base is ready, and preparation for the second stage — the building construction itself — is underway. Equipment procurement has begun.

«Unlike the existing premises, the laboratory will be fully autonomous, disconnected from the factory. This way, we are moving away from production factors such as noise and vibration. The construction site was chosen deliberately; the chemical-analytical laboratory (CAL) will be located between the operating factory and the future gold recovery plant, from where samples will also be sent for analysis,» said Vener Salakhutdinov, head of the organization and control department for construction and installation works.

Back in 2021, a modernization of the chemical-analytical laboratory was carried out. For example, the sample preparation department moved to a nearby modular building, a large-scale overhaul was conducted, and departments were equipped with modern equipment, which doubled the laboratory«s productivity. Today, with the increase in ore processing and the start of the gold recovery plant project, expansion of the laboratory is required again.

«Today, we face the task of increasing the number of analyzed samples — geological, technological — and samples of marketable products. The construction of a new building — one for two factories — will allow this, since all departments will be located in one place. In case of repairs or equipment verification, we will ensure interchangeability and not stop work for a minute,» noted Irina Melgunova, head of the chemical-analytical laboratory.

The new building will meet all modern requirements for such a production facility — equipped with gas pipelines, gasifiers, gas cleaning units, and supply and exhaust ventilation for safe work with acids.
