In Novosibirsk«s Octyabrsky district, at 390 Chekhov Street, authorities want to introduce a state of high alert. A resolution on this was published on the city hall»s website.

«In order to take operational measures to prevent an emergency situation related to the threat of collapse of hazardous structures in the apartment building at 390 Chekhov Street in Octyabrsky district, and to prevent harm to the life, health, and property of citizens…» the document states.

It also specifies that various departments will be placed on «high alert.» The Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services must conduct a commission inspection of the apartment building within 10 days of the resolution«s issuance. Additionally, until residents are fully relocated, the possibility of providing them with temporary housing from the municipal specialized housing stock»s maneuverable fund must be considered.

Furthermore, the administration must notify residents about the introduction of the high alert regime and the measures being taken to prevent an emergency.

The management company is recommended to daily check the condition of the hazardous load-bearing walls of the building and report the results to the administration.

According to 2GIS, the house was built in 1954 and has two entrances.

Earlier, due to the threat of roof collapse at an abandoned building in Novosibirsk, traffic was temporarily restricted on Viktor Staroshchuk Street. Later, no collapse threat was found.
