Authorities Announce Completion Date for Dynamo Stadium Renovation

Regional officials report that 75% of the renovation work on the Dynamo stadium in Nizhny Novgorod is finished, with full completion scheduled for 2026.

Major renovation at the Dynamo stadium in Nizhny Novgorod is proceeding according to schedule. Work is 75% complete. Full completion of the renovation is planned for 2026, NN.RU was told by the regional sports ministry.

Work is being carried out using funds from the regional budget. Key stages on the football field have been completed: final coating has been laid and markings applied. The athletic tracks and jumping sectors are fully ready, foundations for lighting masts have been installed, and utility lines have been laid.

Currently, workers are busy constructing a safety pit, installing sewage and heating systems in the rooms under the stands, and concreting the stands. Preparation for facade work is also underway.

“Once positive temperatures arrive, work on landscaping and repair of flat areas will be completed. Full completion of work is planned for 2026,” the department concluded.

In early September, another Nizhny Novgorod stadium, Vodnik, was closed. After inspection, it was declared emergency. Sports section activities are now held at other institutions.
