Andrei Chibis: Second power line support installed via helicopter

Work to restore power supply is continuing in the Murmansk region. A second power line support was installed using a helicopter, Governor Andrei Chibis reported.
“We took off as soon as weather conditions allowed. The structure was assembled on the ground, secured with cables, lifted, and installed on site. I thank the pilots of the Arkhangelsk United Aviation Squadron for their help,” Chibis said.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Murmansk region. Full restoration of power supply after the accident may take at least a week. The Murmansk Regional Prosecutor«s Office has already launched an inspection due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated. It turned out that the fallen power line supports had been in service for almost 60 years.
