Almetyevsk to Open Kindergarten with Bomb Shelter

The new kindergarten in Almetyevsk is a three-story building designed with modern safety features and amenities.
In a new microdistrict of Almetyevsk, a new kindergarten with 164 spots will soon open. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Almetyevsk district administration. Its uniqueness lies in the pre-adapted basements where children can take shelter.

Previous drone threats in the region have led to evacuations to basement shelters for safety protocols.
The three-story kindergarten will be called «Polyanka.» It is equipped according to modern standards, with play and sleeping rooms, a study room for the Tatar language, and a speech therapy room. The medical block includes an isolation room. Meals will be delivered to the floors using a special elevator, and the building has its own laundry.
After final inspections, the kindergarten is planned to begin operations in February following all approvals.
«The basement premises are equipped with everything necessary and can serve as a reliable shelter for children and staff,» added the Almetyevsk administration.
The facility has already received a positive conclusion confirming compliance with all requirements. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of January, with the opening set for February.
In Almetyevsk, along with other industrial centers of Tatarstan, drone attack threats are periodically announced, requiring residents to seek shelter or go to basements. One such case occurred in September last year, when kindergarteners and schoolchildren were «moved to provided safe premises,» including basements.
