Starting in September 2026, students in Rostov Oblast schools, as across the country, will begin receiving grades for their behavior. The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has already prepared a corresponding draft order.

Among residents of the region, there is no unanimous opinion on this initiative. Some see no point in the innovation, while others hope it will help avoid lower grades in academic subjects due to disciplinary violations.

Families and parents raise children, schools and teachers impart knowledge.

They shouldn«t be grading, this isn»t a market. They should be educating the young generation.

The pilot testing of the innovation began back in 2025 in seven federal subjects: Novgorod, Tula, Yaroslavl, Leningrad oblasts, the Luhansk People«s Republic (LNR), Chechnya, and Mordovia.
