At the Karl Liebknecht educational institution, students are complaining about the cold in the classrooms. Reports appeared on the Telegram channel «Typical Omsk». According to them, the temperature in the rooms is +10°C (50°F), forcing them to sit in their jackets.
«It»s 10°C (50°F) in the classroom. We are sitting in our jackets. What«s the problem with switching to remote learning until they sort out the heating?»
A similar situation occurred at the College of Innovative Technologies in Economics and Commerce on 27th Severnaya Street. Students there also have to bundle up.
«The classrooms are also unbearably cold, students are sitting in two sweaters and/or jackets, and it still doesn»t help. With the onset of frost, a drop in temperature in the lecture halls is particularly noticeable, which violates sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the climate regime. With a norm of 18–22°C (64–72°F) in winter, the temperature in our college«s lecture halls is 12–15°C (54–59°F),» writes one of the students on the Telegram channel «Omsk Live!».
The College of Transport Construction on Lobkova Street was flooded with boiling water. Video of the incident appeared on the Telegram channel «Zhest Omsk». As students reported, a hot water pipe burst in the gym. Because of this, steam formed in the corridors.
«The water poured all night, now the heating in the college and the dormitory has been turned off,» wrote the author of the video.
