Ufa Included in Global Most Expensive Cities Ranking

Ufa can boast of being included in the list of the most expensive cities to live in — the ranking, moreover, is not just national, but worldwide. It was compiled by the largest international database Numbeo.
In total, the list includes 479 cities, including 16 Russian ones. When compiling the ranking, prices for housing rent, food, dining out, as well as the purchasing power of local residents were taken into account.
As a benchmark for evaluation, New York was taken, which received 100 points for each criterion. All cities were compared specifically to it. Ufa, in 372nd place with an index of 36.3, found itself in the middle of the Russian part of the ranking, yielding to Moscow, which became the most expensive city in Russia, taking 290th place. Following are Vladivostok (311), Yekaterinburg (333), and St. Petersburg (339). The list also includes Tyumen (346), Kazan (363), Novosibirsk (364), Kaliningrad (370), Samara (374), Krasnodar (375), Nizhny Novgorod (377), Tomsk (378), Rostov-on-Don (379), and Chelyabinsk (380).
In the Russian part of the list, Ufa, however, ended up among cities with relatively affordable prices. You can check out the ranking of regions in Russia with the highest population incomes. Guess what place Bashkortostan holds?
