Shift workers in Yakutia have received record-breaking salary offers, with the highest demand and pay for industrial and mining-related technical professions, experts from Avito Rabota (Avito Work) told 14.RU.
Press operators lead the ranking with an average monthly salary of 332,967 rubles (approximately $3,700 at current rates), a 58% increase from 2024. They work with materials under high pressure to form blanks or extract components, a job requiring precision, experience, and strict safety compliance.
Welders took second place with an average offer of 255,117 rubles (about $2,800), 43% higher than last year. These specialists are in demand at construction sites and production facilities, especially in the harsh conditions of the Far North.
Drillers rounded out the top three with 249,855 rubles per month on average, a 14% annual increase. They are responsible for drilling wells and boreholes at engineering and mining sites, operating complex machinery.
According to Avito Rabota, the average shift salary across Russia rose by 11% in 2025, reaching 154,378 rubles (around $1,700). However, figures in Yakutia are significantly higher due to the harsh climate, remote locations, and a shortage of qualified personnel.
«Shift work remains one of the most lucrative employment formats for industrial and technical professions. Employers are willing to pay more for work in challenging conditions, especially in regions like Yakutia, where competition for specialists is particularly high,» said Andrey Kucherenkov, director of the Industrial and Linear Professions category at Avito Rabota.
Actual income depends on the shift length, with companies offering rotations from 15 to 90 days, and salaries varying based on the specific project and the applicant«s skill level.
