Omsk budget rises 600 million rubles for roads and housing

The city will receive 42 million rubles (about $442,000) from developers.
At a meeting of the Omsk City Council, new amendments to the city budget for 2026 were approved. Revenues will increase by almost 600 million rubles (approximately $6.3 million at current rates). This was reported by the administration«s press service.
According to City Council Chairman Vladimir Korbout, revenues will increase due to interbudgetary transfers of a targeted nature, infrastructure levy funds, as well as growth in tax and non-tax revenues. Over 42 million rubles (about $442,000) will be received from developers who have signed contracts with the mayor«s office.
As promised by the administration, the total revenue volume will amount to 40.9 billion rubles (approximately $430 million), and the budget will be deficit-free.
“Additional funds will be directed towards the maintenance and repair of roads, the improvement of public areas, major repairs, including «court» houses and educational institutions, the relocation of citizens from dilapidated housing, and much more,” wrote Mayor Shelest in his Telegram channel.
Last year, city treasury revenues amounted to 44.8 billion rubles (about $472 million), while expenditures were 47.2 billion rubles (approximately $497 million).
Earlier, NGS55.RU reported that in Omsk Oblast, funding for utilities and agriculture will be cut.
