Ninth Art Mir Exhibition Opens at Nizhny Novgorod Fair

The multicultural project showcasing the art of various countries will run from January 31 to February 8.

From January 31 to February 8, the ninth multicultural exhibition «Art Mir» will be held in the pavilions of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. This year«s theme is the cultural heritage of various nations, the diversity of their languages, traditions, and artistic practices.

The event will feature about 400 artists representing 29 Russian cities and 18 foreign countries, including masters from Denmark, France, China, Israel, Germany, Hungary, and Japan. Visitors will be able to talk to the authors and purchase works they like.

The exhibition has prepared special curatorial projects:

  • «Facets of the Celestial Empire»,
  • «Art of Kyrgyzstan»,
  • «Marc Chagall. Visual Poetry».

Traditionally, the «Art-Luga» festival will present its program dedicated to ecological art. The Kerzhensky Nature Reserve is also participating in the event with an educational initiative.

About 100 different master classes will be organized for guests. They can learn skills in watercolor painting, portrait painting from life, collage, calligraphy, and other techniques. A separate charity stand will operate, with proceeds from the sale of artists« paintings going to help children with autism spectrum disorders.

The exhibition will be located in the first and second pavilions of the fair complex. Opening hours:

  • January 31 – February 4, February 6–7: from 11:00 to 20:00.
  • February 5: from 11:00 to 22:00.
  • February 8: from 11:00 to 18:00.
