Krasnodar Dentist Creates Stone Paintings of Putin and Giraffe

Krasnodar dentist Yelena Priyma has been creating unique paintings for over 10 years. The artist brings unusual stones from her travels around the country and the world and sees images of animals, fairy-tale characters, and even politicians, such as Vladimir Putin, in unhewn cobblestones.

For such creativity, physical preparation is important, as well as the help of friends and family. Yelena recalls how she once hauled a stone for about five kilometers. It eventually became a bear.

As the dentist admits, stones are also given to her by friends, family, and even patients. Yelena Priyma«s collection has over 150 stone works, and among her »favorites« is a giraffe on a stone with stalactites. It was brought to the artist as a gift from the Azishskaya Cave in Adygea, which is among the five largest caves in Europe.
