This coming weekend in Ulyanovsk features an extensive program of cultural and sporting events. On Saturday, January 24, at 10:00 AM, the Regional Local History Museum will host a workshop titled «Keep Me, My Talisman» (6+). Participation costs from 150 rubles (approx. $2 at current rates).

At 10:40 AM, Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 6 will hold the Ulyanovsk Oblast Powerlifting Championship (0+).

At 11:40 AM, the College of Culture and Arts will host a literary hour titled «In the Magical Land of Hoffmann»s Tales« (6+). Admission is free.

At 12:00 PM, the Stroitel House of Culture will host the gala concert of the 9th City Multi-Genre Festival of Patriotic Creativity for Veterans of War and Labor, «Here Begins My Homeland,» named after Honored Cultural Worker of Russia Yuri Dyomin (0+).

At 1:00 PM, the Avrora Cultural Center will hold a concert «Song to the Native Land» (0+). The program will feature both ancient folk melodies and modern works praising the beauty of the Volga region.
