Four Perm Museums Close Due to Extreme Cold, Weekend Operations Halted

Today, four museums in Perm and the region closed abruptly due to freezing temperatures.
The Diorama Museum, «Khokhlovka», the «Underground Printing House» Museum, and the Vasily Kamensky House Museum will not operate from January 22 to 25, reports Novy Kompanion. According to the publication, this is due to severe frosts.
On the museums« pages on VKontakte, only the administration of »Khokhlovka« announced changes in the work schedule due to weather. They will not accept visitors from January 22 to 25. On the same dates, the Kamensky House Museum and the diorama will be closed. On the museums» social networks, it is written that they will suspend work for technical reasons. The «Underground Printing House» Museum is closed from January 22 to 24, with the same reason – technical.
Andrey Shikhov reported that on the night of Friday, January 23, the strongest frosts will hit Gubakha, Kudymkar, Dobryanka, Chermoz, Berezniki, Kungur, and Kynu. In some places, it could be as low as -40 °C (-40 °F). In the rest of the region, it will be -30 to -35 °C (-22 to -31 °F).
Also, currently in Perm, due to the frosts, several ice rinks are not operating, and in Gubakha, a ski resort has closed.
