Boy adopted after performance, father bonds with daughter

A boy from an orphanage who was afraid to go on stage at a charity festival found a family after it and will go to perform in Moscow with his mother, actress Evgenia Korotkevich told Chita.Ru.

“At the rehearsal, the boy was very afraid to go on stage. We went out together holding hands. But on the day of the festival, he sang alone, opened up and captivated everyone in the hall. And our director Anastasia said that he has unique talent and a great future. In August, we started preparing the sixth charity festival, which will take place on January 21, 2026, in the heart of Moscow. I really wanted this boy to come too, but the orphanage said he had been taken into a family. For several months there was no information and I thought that most likely the new family wouldn«t want to let such a wonderful boy go to Moscow, I thought they were afraid, so they weren»t answering us. And just yesterday, I was given his mother«s number, we called and had a very heartfelt conversation. The mother said that the festival changed their family»s life. The woman took the child from the orphanage after the festival, now they are together. After the festival, he became braver, believed in his strength and is already getting ready to go to Moscow. Miracles are around us and this is true happiness,” Korotkevich said.

She also said that the father of one of the festival participants had not been communicating with her for some reason.

“However, during rehearsals, he approached and proudly said that his daughter would sing with me. But I didn«t know their story. And it turned out that before this they hadn»t communicated at all, and now the dad picks the girl up from school, studies with her and gives her a lot of time. But this is not the only such story. A girl from the orphanage in Maccabeevo (Chita region) also cried on the day of the festival and couldn«t go on stage. We went together with her. I went out and told the audience that right before their eyes a big and important thing is happening, Masha is on stage for the first time and we really need support. She started singing the song ‘Aist na krashe’ (Stork on the Roof), and there were tears in the hall. With Masha, two other girls sang and now all three of them are going to Moscow. They are smart and incredibly talented. And at the ‘Open World’ center, a boy from an orphanage is studying, he is deaf, I was told that other children bully him and because of this he also behaves badly, I asked to tell him that he will also go to Moscow if he tries hard. Now miracles are happening with him, he runs to rehearsals and gathers all the children with him. It»s so important for him to get to Moscow. The guy has gained hope and motivation, and you know how important that is,” the actress added.
