Suddenly, the man got up, took two pairs of scissors, and headed towards Lyudmila. Grabbing her, he held the scissors to her neck, threatening: «I»ll now kill this woman.« As Vera notes, the store employees did not attempt to help.
Lyudmila resisted and managed to snatch one pair of scissors, but during the struggle, she received injuries to her arm and head. After she cried for help, the attacker knocked her to the floor.
The situation was resolved by two men who entered the store. They helped neutralize the aggressor and handed him over to the arriving police. The victim was taken away by an ambulance.
Medical assistance was not immediately available. Lyudmila was delivered to the admission room of Solovyov Hospital, but she was not accepted there. As a result, the necessary help, including stitching wounds, was provided at a trauma center, after which the woman was referred to a neurosurgeon.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code («Hooliganism committed with the use of an item used as a weapon»). The Krasnoperekopsky District Court, taking into account the position of the prosecutor«s office, chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months. For this crime, punishment of up to seven years of imprisonment may be imposed.
Currently, Lyudmila has stitches between her thumb and index finger, which will be removed in two weeks. Her palm is bandaged, and a scar remains on her head.
