A woman in the Tula region has been fined for fraudulently registering 18 migrants, although she faced up to three years in prison.

In the Shchyokino district, a court has sentenced a woman who fraudulently registered 18 foreign citizens.
As established by the court, the owner of a residential house in the Shchyokino district from June 7 to August 22, 2025, applied to the MFC (Multifunctional Center) in Shchyokino and processed registration at the place of stay for 18 citizens of Uzbekistan. However, as it turned out, they did not intend to live in her house, and the woman herself did not plan to provide them with housing. The registration was formal — only «on paper».
In court, the defendant fully admitted guilt and repented. The case was considered in a special procedure.
The woman was found guilty under Article 322.3 of the Russian Criminal Code — fraudulent registration of a foreign citizen at the place of stay in a residential premises in Russia. This article provides for punishment of up to three years of imprisonment, as well as large fines and other criminal liability measures.
The court imposed a fine on her — 105,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates). The preventive measure in the form of a written pledge not to leave was left in effect until the sentence comes into force.
