Video Captures Failed Robbery at Yekaterinburg Dental Clinic
On the night of January 31, a children«s dental clinic in central Yekaterinburg was targeted for robbery. A man in a hood and mask burst into the clinic and began rummaging through desks and cabinets.
Surveillance footage captured the intruder searching the clinic premises.
The thief was out of luck: there was no money in the cash register because the dentistry conducts daily cash collections. The intruder only took a work mobile phone. But here too, he faced a hitch: the device can be tracked via geolocation. This information was relayed to the police, the clinic noted.
«The security system responded instantly: the alarm went off, and the information was promptly passed on to the responsible services. One of the clinic»s doctors arrived at the scene among the first. The clinic«s work continues as usual. If the thief had come to work instead of breaking the law, he would have been considered for a courier position—his speed of action is high,» joked Atis Kids & Family.
Police reported that the information about the break-in at the clinic has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
The clinic suggested that it might be the return of the elusive teenagers who terrorized clinics, salons, and offices in 2023. In 10 days, they robbed five dental clinics.
It all began on June 10, 2023, when underage thieves attacked a dental clinic on Tatishcheva Street, 82. First, they yanked on the entrance door for a long time, then picked up a stone lying on the ground and used it to smash the glass. On the same day, they visited a dentistry on Tatishcheva Street, 77. Then, one of the robbers was detained.
Very similar teenagers were spotted in a robbery on Bebel Street on June 13. The intruders broke into a dentistry, a training center, and two beauty salons. To get into the premises, they also smashed glass in the doors.
On June 17, a gang of teenagers robbed a dentistry on Rodonitovaya Street. There, to break in, the teenagers used a crowbar. And on June 20, they smashed the glass of a clinic on Molotoboitsev Street, entered inside, trashed everything and stole expensive equipment.
