Ust-Kut Official Charged with Sexual Violence in New Case

Mikhail Tyshkivsky, an official from Ust-Kut who was a figure in a negligence case related to dog catching, has been accused of another crime. As reported on January 30 in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Irkutsk Region, he is charged with sexual violence.

Tyshkivsky, who holds the position of chairman of the district committee for agriculture, natural resources, and ecology, was detained during the January holidays after a pack of stray dogs attacked a 10-year-old boy. The boy«s ear was torn off, and with various injuries, he ended up in intensive care. Later it turned out that Tyshkivsky, who was released on a recognizance not to leave, disappeared from the view of law enforcement.

“The Ust-Kut Interdistrict Investigative Department has initiated a criminal case against the chairman of the committee for agriculture, natural resources, and ecology of the Ust-Kut municipal administration. He is accused of committing a crime provided for by Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, «Sexual Violence,»” the message states.

The nature of the crime the official is accused of is not specified in the message.

The Investigative Committee also reported that due to violation of the preventive measure, the man was declared wanted on a federal level. Now investigators are asking the court to send him to a pre-trial detention center.
