The Minusinsk City Court has sentenced 67-year-old Sergei Krachkov — he called emergency services twice in three days and reported bombs that were not there.
It all began on the evening of October 4, 2025. Krachkov had been drinking in a rented apartment, took a phone, and dialed 113 — for some reason, the ambulance service. He told the operator that the Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam was mined and would explode at 10:30 p.m. Police from two different regions — Minusinsk and Sayanogorsk — were dispatched to check. They spent a little over 16,000 rubles (about $160 at current rates) on the responses.
The bombs, of course, were not found. Three days later, the pensioner decided to «joke» again. By that time, he was already living in another place — Krachkov has no home of his own, and social services had placed him in a dormitory for temporary residence. On the morning of October 7, the man took a phone from the watchman, dialed 112, and told the firefighters that the dormitory was mined and would explode at ten in the morning. That is, he «mined» the house where he himself lived.
In court, Krachkov fully admitted his guilt. He was sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment conditionally with the same probation period. The sentence has not yet come into force.
