On the night of January 31, in the center of Yekaterinburg, a perpetrator attempted to rob a children«s dental clinic. A man in a mask and hood broke in and began searching tables and cabinets.
CCTV cameras at the location captured the suspect«s entry and actions inside the clinic.
There was no money in the cash register because daily cash collection is conducted at the institution. The criminal took only a work mobile phone, but the device can be tracked via geolocation. Information about the incident has been reported to the police.
Representatives of the Atis Kids & Family clinic commented on the situation: «The security system reacted instantly: the alarm went off, and information was promptly transmitted to the responsible services. One of the clinic»s doctors arrived at the scene among the first. The clinic«s work continues as usual. If the thief had come to work instead of breaking the law, he would have been considered for a courier position—his speed of action is high.»
The police registered the fact of the break-in and began an investigation. The clinic suggested that the incident might be linked to the actions of teenagers who carried out a series of robberies in 2023.
At that time, over ten days in June, underage criminals robbed five dental clinics. It all started on June 10, when they broke the door glass with a stone and entered the clinic on Tatishcheva Street, 82.
On the same day, they attacked a dentistry on Tatishcheva, 77, and one of the robbers was detained. On June 13, similar teenagers broke into a clinic on Bebel Street, as well as a training center and two beauty salons, using a similar break-in method.
On June 17, the gang robbed a dentistry on Rodonitovaya Street, using a crowbar to break in. On June 20, they smashed the glass of a clinic on Molotoboytsev Street, vandalized the premises, and stole expensive equipment.
