Rescued Blind Dog Rex Becomes a Father in Nakhodka
Rex has recovered from his injuries, and his puppy Yasha is already growing up.
The blind dog Rex, rescued from a trash bin by Evgeny Telin, a well-known fitness trainer in Nakhodka, has had a son. Evgeny himself told this to a VLADIVOSTOK1.RU correspondent.
Evgeny Telin lives and works in Nakhodka; his name became famous after participating in the new season of the show «Super Ninja» (18+) on STS. The man participated twice, the first time to test his strength, the second time to publicly apologize to his daughter, whom he offended with a careless word on the same show.

The high-profile story happened in April 2025. At that time, Evgeny, passing by trash bins, noticed that a thin, bitten dog was lying in one of them, and later it turned out that it had no vision. In the end, everything ended well: the athlete opened a fundraiser for an enclosure and treatment, took the dog under his care and named it Rex. Later, the police intervened in the situation to find out who treated the animal that way.

«Rex started gnawing on the metal enclosure and managed to find a loophole. His head got through, and then his whole body got through, and he went to Tasha. She is a mix of a mongrel and a shepherd, and they say Rex looks either like a Malamute, or a Laika, or a Siberian Husky. On October 27, Tasha gave birth to several puppies, and only Yasha survived. He is a spitting image of a Husky, an unusually beautiful puppy,» Evgeny said.
The man clarified that he started receiving requests to give the puppy away for guarding a forest or a dacha, but he decided to keep it, as he is raising the pet from birth.
«The dogs I took were usually already capable, and they were 2–3 months old. When Rex appeared, he was 5 years old. But here, roughly speaking, I myself delivered the birth and saw Yasha from birth as a little lump. You could say I became related to him and nursed him,» Evgeny admitted.
According to the athlete, the lack of vision is no longer a problem for Rex, and he calmly runs around the yard, avoiding obstacles and overcoming steps, as he has learned the territory.
In total, Evgeny has 7 dogs under his care, and Rex managed to get along with almost all of them, except for one male Jack Russell Terrier, but to avoid conflicts, Evgeny simply walks them in turn.
«If they were nearby, then probably nothing would be left of the Jack Russell. Rex can stand up for himself,» the man emphasized.
Also, police officers found the man who threw Rex into the trash bin. According to Evgeny, nothing happened to him due to the lack of evidence of a crime, but he himself offered to compensate part of the expenses for the dog«s treatment and even asked to give him back, but was refused.
«He first wanted to take the dog back, but I categorically disagreed. He vaguely explained why he did that. First he said that Rex ran away from him, then he said he thought the dog was already dead. I don»t know what was in his head, we weren«t in his place,» Evgeny concluded.
