Perm Shelter Looks for Home for Cat Fizzy

The cat, named Fizzy, requires surgery for ear tumors found during her shelter examination.
The Perm shelter «Happy Tail» has taken in a cat named Fizzy. She was living in a box by the Dynamo Stadium during the cold weather. Currently, efforts are underway to treat her ears and find her a home.

Fizzy was rescued after living in a cardboard box near a stadium during winter.
Staff at the «Happy Tail» shelter told 59.RU that in November of last year, locals spotted the cat in a cardboard box near Dynamo Stadium. She endured the freezing temperatures there for several weeks.
«She was living like a stray in the cold downtown. It was only after two weeks that a young woman contacted us to report the cat in the box,» shelter workers told 59.RU.
At «Happy Tail,» veterinarians examined Fizzy and discovered multiple tumors in her ears, known as ceruminomas. She requires surgery.
Ceruminomas are rare tumors of the outer ear canal that develop from ceruminous glands. They can be either benign (adenomas) or malignant.
«The situation is complicated because she is aggressive and feral,» shelter staff explained. «Treating and spaying her is challenging in the shelter environment; caretakers must wear heavy gloves when cleaning her cage to avoid serious scratches. We called her Fizzy because of her fiery temperament.»
Once Fizzy has recovered, the shelter will attempt to find her a permanent home. If you are interested in adopting her, contact «Happy Tail» at 8-966-793-41-51 (Daria).
Previously, we reported on a Perm stray cat named Rug who survived on a heating pipeline before being taken to a shelter. He was later adopted and moved to Cyprus with his new family.
