A lynx wandered into the village of Severny in the Varnavinsky district. The appearance of the wild cat in the settlement caused concern among local residents, and they sought help from specialists. Employees of the Urensky interdistrict department for the protection, control, and regulation of hunting resources returned the animal to the forest, as reported by the regional Ministry of Forestry.

The video shows how the graceful animal with ear tufts first hid among the snowdrifts and then carefully headed towards the forest. Fortunately, this unexpected encounter ended without consequences for everyone.
Authorities reminded that if wild animals are found within populated areas, it is necessary to immediately report to the 24/7 dispatch service «Green Phone» at 8 (831) 433‑22‑11 or to the unified emergency number 112.
Prior to this incident, in the Gorodetsky district, a camera trap «caught» a lynx: it even posed a bit for the camera.
