Foolish Overconfidence: Video of Fatal Crash Near Yekaterinburg Emerges
Video has emerged of a fatal crash on the Polevskoy Tract near Yekaterinburg. As previously reported by E1.RU, three vehicles were involved in the collision: a Nissan, an Audi, and a Mercedes. The footage shows the Nissan pulling into the oncoming lane directly into the path of the Mercedes.
The owner of the Nissan, who was riding in the middle of the rear passenger seat, was killed. Three other passengers and the driver were hospitalized. There were no injuries reported in the other vehicles.
«They weren»t wearing seatbelts. The passengers were intoxicated, but the driver was sober. It was just foolish overconfidence at the wheel,« a relative of the deceased told E1.RU.
«The Nissan was overtaking traffic in the direction of Polevskoy. It hit the Audi, and from the impact, it jumped into the oncoming lane under the Mercedes. There was a group of five people in the Nissan, and the car»s owner died. According to the Audi driver, the entire group was drunk,« one of the witnesses earlier reported.
Another witness said that in the Nissan, a man was pinned in the front seat. The crash forced authorities to close the road to traffic.
